A Night in Mumbai...

This weekend our girlie's High School had a dance.

The theme was A Night in Mumbai
which instantly made me think of
the cute song at the end of Mirror Mirror,
called I Believe in Love.

Makes you want to dance doesn't it
and ya gotta love those dwarves!

Back to the girlie and her friends.

She and her date made each other's corsage and boutineer
the night before the dance
and he was pretty proud of his creation.

Nice job guys!

One of the girls wasn't able to make it for games and photos
so we missed her in the group pictures
but her date was a delightful photo bomber.
 ;)

Once again, I find myself filled to the top with gratitude
 for the twig's great friends.
Kind, funny, smart, on the ball kids
who give me lots of hope for the future.

The night before the winter dance...

The night before their High School Winter Dance,

these fun people got together
(minus one of their group members)

and made their dance boutonnieres

and corsages.

For all but our girlie,
this was their first time making a corsage or boutonniere.

You're right if you're thinking two of these people aren't in High School.

Zac asked one of his favorite people
and High School Administrators, Deb,
if she could use 2 more chaperones for the dance.
She said she was delighted to have them attend.

(Don't you just love the little pine cones!!

We found them on trees at a nearby park
right after the skies dumped a hale storm on us.
Our fingers were so numb from the cold and wet that
we didn't even feel the needles poking us after a while.
...hahaha...)

Zac and Deb have a tradition of swing dancing together
so it was a sweet opportunity for them to have another dance.
We love Deb!

It was fun for Zac and Ashley to attend a formal dance together too!
=D

More dance pictures to come...

What a sweetheart...

Hunter and this wonderful girl went to Sweethearts Dance a few weeks ago.

Their day date was a scavenger hunt
around the neighborhood with 3 other couples
gathering frosting and decorations for sugar cookies.
Then they got treats and decorated cookies.

They'd made their flowers together a few days before

and they looked great!
Their flowers looked great too!  ;)

She sent us this picture of their group.

Good times!

Our girlie says I'm hired...

Last month Hunter was in a group for a High School Dance
and heard that one of the couples got together before the dance
and made their flowers.

Totally genius!

Thanks Aaron and Jessica for passing on the great idea.

Hunter had two dances coming up this weekend
and our girlie had one dance
so we decide to try our hand at making corsages and boutineers.

Madeline joined us.   :)
She and Hunter were going to her Sweethearts Dance on Saturday.

 Pinterest had some great tutorials...

and everyone let their creativity flow.

These were the finished products.

Our girlie made this corsage and
decided she'd like to have a flower shop.   ;)

She asked me if I'd come work for her.
Cool!

Hunter started Madeline's corsage, then she helped him finish it up
after she whipped up his handsome boutineer lickety-split.

So pretty and so fun!
