Morning Glory Arch and 10 stream crossings...

There were 20+ mph winds forecast this day of our Spring Break in Moab. We'd experienced hiking in Arches National Park once before in 20+ mph winds and it was wild (below)!

Made us want to take cover and not come out again!

This time we considered the options and hit upon a hike description to Morning Glory Arch. It sounded like a pretty trail that followed a stream in the bottom of a canyon. We hoped that would translate as a windbreak.

Successo! It was perfect!

The only flying sand was what that funny guy was creating.   ;)

One of our favorite things about this hike was the 10 little stream crossings.

The twigs liked the lizards too.

From a distance we could make out what appeared to be Morning Glory Arch. Then get this, there was a person standing on the arch! He was with a group who were rappelling into the grotto from somewhere up above.

The grotto was so pretty!

The arch was totally amazing!

Scott and April were the icing on the cake! I love icing!!!

No crazy wind till we got back to the car. I'm grateful for this amazing world God created for us!

I'm also grateful for trail mix with lots of M & M's.   ;)
